I came here for a private dinner party last Friday for a friend's birthday. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I got there early so I sat at the bar and got a drink. The Rock Steady was good! It's like a pina colada meets Bahama mama. Very Caribbean vibe. I loved it. The dinner was a prefix so the appetizers were pre selected. We had bbq jerk wings, tostones & plantains, beef empanadas , and pineapple jerk cauliflower. Honestly they were all so good! I would say the pineapple jerk cauliflower was my favorite. For my entree I did the jerk grilled chicken. I'll be honest. I thought the chicken was a little underwhelming. It didn't really taste like it had much of the jerk sauce or seasoning. Certain parts seemed like it was a little dry. The Haitian mushroom rice, greens and plantains that it comes with were superb. It could've been an off day so I would come back and try the jerk chicken again because the wings were pretty good. Overall, the food, service and vibe were really good. Please note that your tab automatically includes 20% gratuity no matter the party size. I think my one complaint would be that valet parking (I believe) is $15. I'm not really a fan of restaurant that charge for parking. I did street parking. I think it was about $8 for four hours. I would definitely return though.

This place is a whole vibe! (It was recommended to us while visiting Atlanta). The Afro-Caribbean influence is apparent as soon as you walk in. The art, lights, music, and overall vibe of the place is 10/10. They had a live DJ playing on Saturday night and they serve a late night menu until 1am. Our waitress was pheeenominal. So personable and friendly! She recommended a few dishes to us but we decided on sharing some apps between the four of us. We decided on the jerk chicken egg rolls, calamari, collard greens dip, and cauliflower. All was delicious and the flavors were insane. My fav was the calamari and dip tho! The egg rolls need hot sauce or something else to give it a little zing in my opinion. We didn't order drinks but they have a great cocktail menu. Just upstairs is a night club with a DJ and couches / bottle service. Whole place was a vibe and the melanin was popppinnnn everywhere. Definitely a must if you're visiting Atlanta!

I came here as a part of my out of town birthday trip, organized by my best friend and it did not disappoint! Great service, good music and the food is incredible! The drinks are delicious as well and actually give you a little buzz.

I finally made it to this restaurant. And I like it. Parking: street, valet or public parking all around. Most economical was street. 3 hours for a little over $6. Entrance/decor: nicely dressed doorman, valet and staff. Decor is as is from the pictures. Food: we had lamb chops, cauliflower and wings. Enjoyed all of it. I would have preferred the lamb chops a little more tender. My preference. But everything was seasoned and presentation was perfection. And drinks were very good!!! Service: our waiter was phenomenal. I had tons of questions, and she was very patient. It seemed like it was a busy night. There is a lounge upstairs and a private room downstairs. Upstairs was thumping, Dj and vibes was great. I will definitely return.

I loved Rock Steady. Met up with a childhood friend for Sunday brunch. It was the perfect ambiance for 20 years of catching up. The decor was a resort like tropical oasis reminiscent of the Caribbean. The thatch covered ceiling/light fixtures were aesthetically pleasing. The food was delicious. The sweet potato French toast was a nice twist. It was more like a fluffy monkey bread than a traditional French toast. It was also quite filling. I only ate one of the two toasts. The cocktail was tasty and strong. This may have made it somewhat difficult to read the bathroom signs to differentiate the men's from the women's. The letterings were confusing. We received great service. Our waiter was attentive. He also took our picture as we were leaving. I wish we could have dined in the music gallery, but I plan to go back on my next visit to Atlanta. Why not five stars? I parked in the parking lot adjacent to the building. It's valet upon entry. I paid and tipped via the app while dining. When I retrieved my car, the parking attendant made a spiel about tips. I told him I'd already paid via the app. He said they don't receive tips from the app. That should be sorted out with the restaurant. I didn't like being solicited. Note that there is ample street parking. It was raining and I had luggage in my car, so I opted for secured parking. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I found my self back at Rock Steady celebrating a friends birthday! As I remember, classy sophisticated vibes, professional staff and a space to hangout with great art and a generous event space upstairs with another bar. I left early however I heard upstairs is quite the scene for the 40+ something crowd with House Music and an amazing vibe! This visit I ordered The Salmon Croquette with a Pork Chop and Apple Waffle. I also tasted some of a friends Janga Dip! The Salmon Croquette were delicious and the Pork Chop and Apple Waffle was "Meh". I was expecting more but I've had this item at other restaurants and found it far superior. The Janga dip was delicious and an enormous size for sharing! Last, I find the menu more Southern "Soul Food" than Afro Caribbean but that may just me. I do understand they have to fit the tastebuds of the guests so many they've tweaked the menu as the years go by. I recommend the restaurant! Parking is Valet but there are many areas for street parking and many garages in the West Midtown area. Gratuity is added to every receipt also!

I've eaten here before, but I'll speak on my last experience. We picked this spot for gurls night. The ambiance is nice & it's a cute lil date nite/bday/gurls nite spot. However, the prices are steep. I had 2 dranks & a dessert since I ate earlier that day. The tab ended up being $50+ (including their automatic gratuity). Our waitress was cool/knowledgeable about the menu & the doorman was respectful, so no complaints on service. There's a lounge upstairs as well that I've never been to, but my gfs & sista rave about it. All in all, I'd give it a 3.5/4 star rating.

Rock Steady gives me ALL the bad and bougie vibes! And since I planned my best friends bachelorette trip, I had to add this spot to the itinerary. We stopped here for for brunch before enjoying a full day ahead. FYI: Valet parking only. What caught my eye was the décor; very chic and classy. During brunch, enjoy their small and large plates menu along with brunch cocktails such as their Rock Steady, Hot Stepper and Get Bent cocktails. They even have mocktails which are just as good. Don't leave without trying the Rock Steady cornbread which comes with tri-colored pepper jelly and whipped butter. So delicious! Their sweet potato french toast is a hit too as it's topped with rum syrup, lemon mascarpone and candied pecans. We definitely ROLLED out of here, haha! At the end, the waiter brought out a candle and dessert for the beautiful bride to be since we were celebrating her birthday too! Rock Steady gets 5 stars in my book. Sending love from New Jersey!
